The perfect worker
According to the text “Three Types of People to Fire Immediately”, the perfect worker is someone whom thinks outside the box, whom really don’t follow the rules and someone whom knows that failure is the first step towards success. In today’s capitalist world everything comes down to profits and revenues. A company needs the nonbelievers and the know-it-alls so that there is a balance, of course no company or organization needs the victims in their payroll, because of the fact that they don’t contribute with anything. My personal view in this matter is that in a company’s research and development (R & D) department you should have the perfect worker as they described it in the text. But for the rest of the company you should have a mix of the perfect worker, the know-it-alls, and the nonbelievers. This because of the fact that someone needs to put the perfect worker to the ground other ways the company will go bankrupt with all the failed projects and overconfident R & D workers. Today everybody is talking about innovative companies as Google and Apple, but we don’t talk about all the failed companies which had innovative thinking as their motto, we only see the success stories and the good side of this point of view.
The managers of each department have the most important jobs in a company, because it’s their jobs to see the potential of the ideas that the workers present and exclude the ones that are impossible. So a manager should be a mixture of a perfect worker, the nonbeliever and the know-it-all, and all of these features in one person.
